Split Level Restoration

Not all jobs require only cosmetic updates. In fact, insuring that the foundation of your home is in top shape is something we never skimp on.

The ridge of this front-back split level house was splitting apart due to foundation issues. The foundation has been piered (a technique of driving steel pipe pilings to remedy failing building foundations), but the damage to the framing was already done.

We were able to open the ceiling to expose the framing of the roofline. We then raised the sagging ceiling and re-secured the rafters to a new ridge-board. This straightened the ceiling line, closed the gap at the ridge and most importantly, secured the ceiling to avoid future collapse!

Once the structural updates were complete, we created a traditionally classic kitchen full of rich tones and touches of white.

After reworking the layout, we were able to hide the flue pipe behind a custom pantry. This kitchen is fully customized and features a pull-out trash can, sheet pan dividers, a spice drawer and pull-out pots and pans organization. A new railing system helped complete and tie the new space together!
